Final Design and Development

Tron is the theme I kept saying to myself and the more I looked through pictures and gain ideas I over looked the obvious, 'TRON.'

Its the movie all over without a doubt but it can be turned into a MP3 player.  The 'O' is where I'll mount the speaker and I would like to light up the Tron.  I will make it so deep as to hold the components.  Initially I see this being CNC machined and then sanded down to a good finish before being painted black.

Now using Pro Engineer I will have to create the 'Tron' lettering. After looking at this challenge it appears the solution is to use free down load Tron Fonts found on the Internet.

After installing these Fonts and once on the screen I could extrude them which would form the  whole of my amplifier.  Initially the piece would be split into two and the front 'Tron' mounted to one of the sections.

This shows the Tron Font slightly extruded but not yet scaled.  I now have to look at how the components are going to fit.  I know that the speaker is going to be placed where the 'O' is and the depth will depend on the circuit board for now.  This will allow more space at the back of the speaker for sound quality.

Considering that the amplifier is going to be split I'm thinking the 'R' is the best place to fit the ciruit board. The top part could be used, this just leaves the battery.  This would be placed directly behind the speaker slightly increasing the depth of the amplifier but it would create even more space and better quality sound.   Now I have to work out how to light it all up.
